- How much do patterns cost?
- Ready-made patterns are $9.99 for the selected size, color, and palette, or $19.99 for the complete pack of every variation. Converting your own image is $9.99 per pattern.
- What do I get when I buy?
- An instant PDF download in 10 print combinations (sizes, color or black-and-white, including 1:1 diamond-painting size), plus access in our free viewer and stitch-tracking app with cloud sync on Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, and Linux.
- Are the mockups really what I will stitch?
- Yes. We show a true-to-stitch mockup of the chart itself — not a dressed-up photo of the original artwork. What you see is the stitches, colors, and detail the pattern will produce.
- Can I convert my own photo?
- Yes. Upload a JPEG, PNG, or WebP on the convert page, choose size and color count, and add the result to your cart for $9.99. You get the same PDF formats and free tracker as store patterns.
- Do you offer refunds?
- Because these are digital downloads we cannot offer returns or refunds. Please zoom the mockup and check a sample PDF before buying. If you bought one size or color count and later want a smaller or more detailed version of the same design, we will switch it — see our returns page.
- How do artist royalties work?
- Licensed artwork is sold with the artist in mind. Up to 50% of each of those sales is paid directly to the artist.
- What fabric count should I use?
- That is up to you — the pattern is a stitch grid. Use the fabric-size calculator under Tools to translate stitch width and height into inches or centimetres for Aida and evenweave counts.
- Who are you?
- A husband-and-wife team in Calgary. She has been stitching for about 30 years; he writes the software. We built Thread-Bare because most conversion tools and charts were not as accurate as they claimed.
